Othon ◯ Vaun is a brand new innovative collaboration between Greek producer, composer & DJ Othon (he/him) and Jamaican descendant Kirtan guide & sound healer Vaun (they/them) Othon ◯ Vaun brings together traditional Kirtan with cutting-edge sound design and electronic cross-genre soundscapes. Musically, energetically and conceptually, they aim to transcend preconceived ideas, merge past with future, intersect stillness with movement and melancholy with ecstasy. The project has started manifesting organically through offerings and experimentation in the PapaLoko community and in London venues such as FOLD and E1. Othon ◯ Vaun have observed how bringing this offering in the underground club scene has brought more awareness and presence in the crowd and how it elevates and transforms the whole party experience. They are currently working on an album, which they are planning to finish in autumn and aim to take this experience to festivals and venues worldwide.
