Tina Nisson is the founder of The Interior Me and specialises in foot and facial reflexology.
Tina is passionate about helping people to heal, as naturally as possible.
Her brand name reflects the belief that you can heal from the inside with proper nutrition, complementary medicine, emotional balance & a toxin-free environment.
Tina became interested in complementary medicine when her dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. She was desperate to help and started to research alternative medicine, and the importance of looking after ourselves from the inside with a nutritious diet. As a background as a chef she already had a head start on healthy eating for well-being, so her next draw was to investigate all avenues of natural healing. His passing gave Tina a huge drive to help people live healthier, longer and more fulfilled lives with her non-invasive deeply relaxing treatments.
Tina has a studio in South London.
What is reflexology?
Reflexology is a therapy that applies gentle pressure to ‘reflex points’ on our feet which in turn activates a healing response in a corresponding organ, gland or system of our body. The body is stimulated via the 7,200 nerve endings in the feet to achieve good health and healing. It can also be performed in the same way on the face or hands.
Reflexology is similar to acupuncture where acupressure is applied to a reflex point or nerve ending. However, a key difference is that the gentle, targeted pressure in reflexology is applied by the hands of a reflexologist, there are no needles involved: it is completely non-invasive. Reflexology can be used alongside any other standard healthcare protocol and is open to people of all ages.
Reflexology is a very individual treatment which considers both the physical and psychological factors that may be impacting your health and well-being in the present moment. It has been used to help a variety of health concerns: from everyday symptoms to more complex conditions.
It improves function of all areas we find out of balance & brings about a state of deep relaxation & helps get the nervous system from the sympathetic state (associated with fight or flight) to the parasympathetic state.
